"Ship Modellers"
These "thumb-planes" were made from memory, of Honduran Rosewood, in the 1970s. In 1939, the first year of the war, Jim worked in the ship's Joiners' Fitting Shop. Here the modellers made a model of each ship in the shipyard. These planes are curved, round, hollow, and concave. Next Photo
