Introduction

Born in Yorkshire, England Ivor (Jim)
Blower apprenticed as a joiner in 1937.
That's when he bought the custom-made
name punch:   I.BLOWER   which he still
uses today.

Joiners stamped their tools to aid
police in the recovery of missing/stolen
items from the pawnshops. Punches are
always stored separately from the tools!

During the Second World War Jim served
with the R.A.F. as a carpenter and on his
discharge he finished his apprenticeship.

He and his Scottish wife, Jenny Taylor,
emigrated to Canada, settling in Toronto,
Ontario. Jim bought a new place punch of:
